01 · Processing · Lyco
Clean‑Flow® cooker/blancher
A continuous cooker, blancher and cooler for ready‑to‑eat lines that switch products several times a day. Lyco developed it in 2007 to shorten sanitation and speed up changeovers.
- self‑cleaning, by Lyco's own rating
- 95 %
- higher recovery than kettles or batch systems, Lyco reports
- 10–15 %

- Pasta
- Rice
- Vegetables
- Green beans
- Dry beans
- Meat, poultry and seafood
Designed to ready‑to‑eat (RTE) standards, for low‑care and high‑care areas.
Patented Hydro‑Flow® agitation gives every piece the same process: product cooks evenly, sticks and clumps less, and pasta is never under‑ or over‑cooked.
Lyco reports 10–15 % higher recovery than kettles or batch cook‑quench‑chill systems.
Lyco rates the Clean‑Flow® 95 % self‑cleaning. During CIP, one large gear turns the auger, the wedge‑wire screen and the discharge wheel together, again and again, until the system is clean.
It also uses much less water, both to run and to clean.
Fully automated, with quick changeovers between products.
Capacity is sized to your line. Tell us your products and throughput, and we will specify it with Lyco.

Rotary drum cooker/coolers
Space‑efficient continuous systems with sanitation benefits and energy efficiency.
- retention time, precisely controlled
- 2–60 min
- cooling time
- −40 %

- +50 %

- Uniform residence time and gentle handling
- Compact footprint; easy maintenance access
- Ideal for vegetables, legumes and pasta
03 · Processing · Mepaco
ThermaBlend® cooker
A thermal batch processor from Mepaco, an Apache Stainless business group. One vessel cooks, sears, caramelises, sautés, blends and chills.
- processes in one vessel: cook, sear, caramelise, sauté, blend, chill
- 6
- heat‑transfer area over conventional kettles (up to, per Mepaco)
- +50 %

- Stews
- Sauces and soup bases
- Pet food
- Pie fillings
Dual‑agitator models suit thick, dense products; single‑agitator models suit sauces, soup bases and lighter products.
Choose direct steam injection for rapid heating (it adds moisture to the product), or indirect heating through an ASME‑certified wrap‑around jacket at 90–130 PSI. Dual‑zone jackets heat only the zone a partial batch needs.
Reversing agitators with VFD speed control (6–30 RPM) use ribbons, paddles or thermal screws, matched to your product, for uniform blending with minimal shear.
Mepaco states up to 50 % more heat‑transfer area than conventional kettles.
Built in 304 or 316L stainless steel by ASME‑certified welders, with an electropolished interior that resists corrosion and microbial adhesion.
A patented bi‑directional scraper reduces burn‑on and can be cleaned in place or removed. CIP options (spray balls, CIP seal assemblies) automate wash cycles.
Recipe and batch automation with an HMI, in NEMA 4X enclosures, with optional data storage and acquisition.

- Processed Meat
- Resin Bolts (Twin Compartment)
- Sauces
- Sausage
- Sealants
- Shortening
- Soups
- Stuffing
- Vegetables
The range covers food, industrial and mining lines, including dual‑chamber packs.
The machine pulls flat film off the roll, forms it into a tube and seals it lengthwise by heat, radio frequency (RF) or extrusion. Product is pumped into the tube, and each chub is voided and clipped in line, in continuous motion, with clips fed from wire spools.
The machine drives and registers the film itself, so the print lands in the same place on every pack. Precise voiding and pumping keep fill weights tight and giveaway low.
Stainless steel construction suits wash‑down food plants. Mining machines add anodized and plated parts for harsh environments.
R.A Jones reports that ground beef in chubs keeps for up to 45 days, up to 75 % longer than the same product in trays.
Flat film and metal clips cost up to 30 % less than foam or plastic trays, and wire‑spool clips cost up to four times less than preformed clips.
